A Way To Win Sure In Life

My two-way recommendation for Africans

Just like my Japanese friend once said, “I live to learn and understand the world,” — I’ve come to adopt that as my life’s motto too. I live actively and intentionally, not just to observe life from the sidelines, but to participate fully and consciously. I believe more Africans need to become independently mindful, and critically capable — and that comes from taking responsibility, both individually and collectively.

Each of us must be individualistic enough to reflect, grow, and evolve personally. We must be responsible for our own development. When that happens at scale, we’ll move faster and become a powerful force — not just for Africa, but as a gift to the world.

Now, on the matter of my title, here are two recommendations I believe every African should live by:

1. Aim Really High.

Nothing is truly impossible. You will spend time, energy, and effort either way — so why not spend it chasing something huge, inspiring, and impactful? Go after something that feels wild and ambitious. Because with time, you’ll realize it’s not only possible — you’ll learn so much and contribute meaningfully to the future of humanity.

2. Live Simply. Daily. Elegantly.

There’s always the temptation to sacrifice your daily peace in pursuit of a big goal — and sure, some of that is necessary. But learn to build from a place of balance and simplicity. Most people who win in life do so in the most straightforward, sustainable ways.

Ever noticed how people who grow up with some level of comfort often continue to win consistently? It’s not magic — it’s because the mind needs calm to create and thrive. Your mind needs space to breathe if you’re going to build anything long-lasting.

Here’s the truth: Most of the big things you’ll do in life won’t just be for you or your family. Honestly, with just a bit of focus and discipline, you could live a modest, decent life. But if you have the ability to do more, why not push further and use that extra to contribute to the world?

I want you to live comfortably — get educated, understand how the world works, enjoy good food, drive a car for ease, and live well — while also doing big, meaningful things. You may not do everything, but your part matters. And the world needs your light — not burned out, but shining daily.

So yes — do big things, but build a stable life while doing it. That balance is hard, but you can train yourself to make it possible.
