Oftentimes they’re equally afraid

They are all as likely confused as you are. This is the only intentionality you need to do big things. Those you anticipate to have greater experience and expertise with doing what needs to be done often don’t have them or more often when they do are not interested in getting certain things done.

Should their bench-warming discourage your effort at getting the right things done? No, if they think they know better, they’ll jump on the train or create a competition for you, which in turn fuels your growth engine and that’s perfect.

At times we’re not creating the ideal situation until we create room for possibility enough to allow smarter people to jump into the room to compete. It won’t matter who has more expertise, it would only matter who wants to start and finish the work.

You have no reason to hold back simply because the benchwarmers are holding back, 99% of the time, they have no intelligent answer as to why they are holding back.

Two things are greatly hard to do :
1. Take action : everyone equally has a reason not to.
2. Lead : everyone has a justification why not to.

The moment you do any of these, you’ve made a qualifying progress already justifying why you should be able to do what you’re doing.
