Look up to avoid comparisons

One aspect of human existence that we should let go of is our ego, which has some damaging behaviors.

Most of the time, when we look at other people, we do the polar opposite of what they do and instead of being inspired by their growth and progress, we instead set ourselves up for failure.

Comparing ourselves to others changes nothing; it merely makes us feel worse about ourselves. If we’re going to be rude to those who can afford Jeff Bezo’s Blue Origin spaceship, that doesn’t mean we can go to the moon trekking instead.

Identifying where we are and admiring those who are where we want to be, as well as following in their footsteps, is a wonderful truth that makes all of these things.

By comparing ourselves to others, we harm ourselves more than good. Instead, we should strive to be like other people and learn from them.

Don’t forget that Elon Musk used to be inspired by Bill Gates. Elon has now surpassed Bill and Warren’s combined influence by a factor of two.
