Success is Information
We fly by Info
Becoming successful is not about acquiring things, even though success is often represented by what we own. But you don’t become successful by acquiring first. “I’ll be successful once I can afford this and that” — No, that’s not how it works.
Success is enlightenment, knowledge, and information first. These create the capacity for acquisition — not just through money, but also through deals, favors, trade-by-barter, debt, and other means. If you understand these avenues, you should be able to acquire anything.
But even that isn’t the main problem. The real problem is managing what you acquire — if those acquisitions don’t kill you before you realize that success is more about knowledge than ownership.
The Kind of Information That Leads to Success
- History
History teaches relevance. It gives you leverage to be better than those before you. There’s a saying, history does not repeat itself; humans repeat history. You see people walking around thinking they are smarter than their predecessors, yet they end up making the same mistakes. Learning history stops you from repeating those cycles. - Ethics & Etiquette
You’ll find two types of people who believe they are on the right path:
Those who spend heavily on expensive clothes, gadgets, cars — thinking that’s what defines success. These ones lack a thinking brain. If you want a luxury car but haven’t even owned a decent cheaper one, you’re in the same category. What this does is build a false wall around your life — where deep down, you know you’re not successful, but your acquisitions convince you otherwise. It’s a lie, and eventually, reality will catch up.
Then there are those who live an unimpressive, mediocre life — shabby in everything they do — because they believe that when they get to the future, they’ll afford a better lifestyle. That’s a lie too. They think mediocrity is just a phase, but mediocrity is never a phase. If you accept it, you’ll stay mediocre for life.
Ethics and etiquette aren’t just for kings and queens. It’s for everyone. How you dress, speak, walk, eat, carry yourself — it all matters. People assume they’ll figure it out when they become rich, but in reality, they’ll never be rich unless they learn it first.
3. Interpersonal Skills
This is about knowing how to talk to people, build relationships, make deals, and create opportunities. Many don’t see this as a skill, but it’s a major key to success. The foundation of this is humility, honor, and service to others. When you take the time to master human interaction, it’s a sign of real wealth. You attract more because you’re not in a desperate hurry for anything.
You’re slow because you’re chasing acquisition instead of knowledge. And knowledge is tricky because it often disguises itself as “what you already know.”
You want to have anything? Learn about getting it first.
You don’t become successful because you have things. You have things because you became successful first.
